My baby step is getting into a new habit of asking myself to breathe when I start feeling a sense of overwhelm (which is happening more often these days). When I notice the familiar feeling creeping into my chest I immediately place a hand on the area that feels tight and then say to myself softly 'breathe, KJ, breathe'. Then I just breathe deeply 2 or 3 times. These little rituals help bring me back to the Now, be my own source of comfort and release all the ANTs.

awesome, krista! here's to releasing ANTs with nice deep breaths!!! :)

I think this is a great way to ground yourself. Breathing helps the negative feeling slowly leave your body with every outgoing breath and helps release the tension that negative feelings will bring.

Another awesome Episode! Initially I thought that after reading and listening to all 100 Notes (which I absolutely love) that I might not get into it since I already know the content but I love these Episodes. They are an awesome complement to the Notes and inspire me to go back and listen to them again to go even deeper into these powerful ideas.

Loved the part about ANTS and your metaphor for finding some organic ant spray. That was hilarious. Appreciate the plug again for http://www.GratitudeLog.com. It sure is a pretty good organic ant spray. In fact, it turns ANTS into PANTS (positive automatic nourishing thoughts)! hehe

Loved the video bro! I was listening to you New Man Podcast and you told a story about the blind person benefiting off the MP3's. I would like to suggest that maybe in the future you could add closed captions to your videos. :) Just a thought. Anyways, I love your hustle. Keep pumping out those videos.

Great episode. I particularly liked the idea of inclining oneself to happiness. To incline oneself does not mean to force oneself to "THINK POSITIVE, IDIOT!"..but simply to lean into that energy. I think we will find that this energy supports us and can teach us how to let go more and more into positivity, creativity, and inspired action. So please people, take it slow, take those baby steps. Incline yourself to happiness with a simple nudge, inquiry, or letting go.

my baby step is to start working on inclining my mind to joy. i have so much to be grateful for in my life and i am going to work at slowing down to enjoy the amazing people that are close to me. i am also going to use positive imagery to help me visualize all the happiness and joy in my life.

Haha, i jumped the gun and commented before finishing the vid, got excited. To your question, I think the Big Idea that I will make sure to step up to tomorrow is the different levels of acquiring happiness. Right now, I have all this stuff happening in my life that is causing so much happiness, but tomorrow I'm going to make sure to just be happy for life and how amazing everything can be, both good and bad. I think being happy for no reason is what attracted things into my life that would cause happiness, that I started getting the happiness from the things, time to go back to being happy regardless of how great things are, and attract the next level of greatness.

Excellent show and lots of info packed into the precious ten minutes. My baby steps are going to be finishing the books one at a time instead of opening one while reading another. Not good when in the middle of Gay Hendricks' The Big Leap to open The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I love windows but that created a wind tunnel. Another step is to watch your new video each day after meditation with Holosync. A great start and thanks for the recommendation, bro!

brian.. i so so SO love all the good you and your goddess are putting out on the web! It is how I start my day. your enthusiasm literally oozes thru the computer!
My favorite reminder from this note is that it takes PRACTICE....those of us with a "lower" set point for happiness just have to practice more. Sometimes i get down on myself if I have a "bad day" that I forgot to do any of the positive things I read about... this reminds me that it just takes PRACTICE... so today my babystep is going to be to practice seeing all the good as much as possible!

Philosophers Notes is how I start my day as well. I took lots of notes today. In a way I agree with Angela (below) about the newletters but I think my soul much prefers the Philosophers Notes this way. Being able to see the topic being spoken about resonates much more in my mind.

Practice is doable, but admittedly difficult with all the negative stuff going on in the world today. I am going to need to gently re-direct my mind whenever it starts to wander into negative waters.

here's to the diligent, patient and persistent practice of redirecting our minds to more and more conscious living, eh?!? :)

Brilliant! Worth getting up at 5:20am for!! From a sound/musician point of view might I suggest you put some soft furnishings (curtains, cushions, wall hangings, rugs) in the room to absorb some of the sound. This will give a warmer more intimate sound and get rid of the boom/echo on your voice! ....just a suggestion. Have a great day Brian...

Brian, another brilliant idea, I absolutely loved the book... in fact, I invited my 15 year old son to read it... no luck.. until I offered to pay him for a 'book report' of this book, he loved it, and the ideas shared in this book and in your PN TV, are vital to leading a happy life... Thanks

Just discovered your site and I am really loving it Brian. Thank you for doing what you do.

I have, for four years now, taken 15 or more minutes each day (for the most part:)) to write all the things that I love about the world, the people in my life and (I think most importantly) myself. It has made a more significant difference in the way I feel and think than anything I have ever come across. Those are my baby steps!

    Thanks again!

Thank you for helping to clearly communicate such powerful ideas. Your videos and summaries are like a virtual pep talks from a personal motivational coach for the inquisitive soul. Recognizing the need for change and actualizing that change in our lives is hard. Yet through practice and sharing among people with similar goals, it makes it a bit easier. This is an awesome community that you've helped foster here.

I admire you for doing something I wish I could do. Educating others to seek and find the powers they have. Shakespeare said something like:life is but a stage and all we can control are our own lines. Very much into the Course of Miracles and letting go of the egoic need to focus on me has shown me how to fly as the eagle. Not trapped in negative thoughts in that my mind is the master power.

This is great. I'm happy to know that a lot of this I already know (even if I don't practice it). What's even better is that I become aware of the little things that can be big stumbling blocks (ANT's). This awareness enables me to make changes whee needed. My baby step is to find the ANTs and stomp them out as I find them.
