The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari – Episode #47
by Brian on March 19, 2010
Robin Sharma is one of the world's top leadership gurus and one of my favorite teachers. In this PN TV episode, we'll have fun looking at a few of my favorite Big Ideas from his wise, inspiring fable: "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari." Hope you dig it!
I would like to hear big ideas from "Goal Free Living" by Stephen Shapiro. Keep up the great work!! Regards!
awesome! thx for the rec, oliver!
great comments..... question?... You talk about spirituality a little bit. Can you say Jesus?
thx, ric! I went to catholic school for 12 years and can definitely say "Jesus"!
You are grate, For now I know where i am going. though not yet there.
I like it Brian! Simple advice to live by....but easier said than done! It seems that to live that life, I would have to stop working 63 hrs per week. I'm one of those people who are complaining that there's not enought time.
This kind of reminds me of a slide show I saw at http://www.theinterviewwithgod.com/popup-frame.ht... (promise this isn't my site, and I'm not trying to sneak in free advertising). In this slideshow God makes the comment that one of the things that bother him about his children is that "they lose their health chasing money, than use their money to restore their health". Similarly, I was recently reading Zac Bisssonnettee's Debt Free U, where he quoted somebody else who made the comment: "University graduates will have to decide whether their careers would dictate their lifestyles, or their lifestyles, they're careers".
In this sense I can understand Robin Sharma likening certain things in life to fuel for your car. We need it for the journey of life! Thanks a lot for sharing Brian, now I'll know this book if I come across it.
